Aircraft SPB – sandblasting gun with 1 l container

A handheld sandblasting gun from the Austrian brand Aircraft, with a gravity-fed 1 liter abrasive container. It is the simplest pneumatic sandblaster for spot treatment: cleaning brake calipers, control arms, rims, small body parts, tools or forged details.

Operating parameters

The Aircraft SPB model works at a pressure of 4–8 bar and needs on average 250–300 l/min of air, so it is worth connecting it to a compressor with adequate output reserve. The hardened nozzle with a diameter of 6 mm is abrasion-resistant. Use abrasive with a grain size of up to 0.6 mm, e.g. aluminum oxide, glass or quartz sand.

What it is useful for

• removing rust and mill scale,
• stripping old paint before painting,
• matting surfaces before primer,
• cleaning metal in restoration of antiques.

Effective metal cleaning requires protective equipment: a mask, goggles, gloves and working outdoors or in a cabinet.
