Alpteq SchlafPlatz - foam camping mat

The Alpteq SchlafPlatz is a folding sleeping mat made of IXPE foam, designed for camping, hiking and outdoor trips. The closed-cell structure of the foam provides durability and resistance to damage, even when laid out on rocky or uneven ground.

Insulation and warmth

The underside of the mat is covered with an aluminum coating that reflects body heat back toward the user, giving an R insulation value of 2.2. As a result, the mat works well on cold, damp or hard ground, limiting heat loss during a night's rest.

Folding and transport

Thanks to the accordion-fold system, the mat can be compressed to a small size of 58 x 13 x 13 cm at a weight of only 430 grams. Unfolding and folding the mat takes a few seconds and requires no inflating, which sets it apart from self-inflating mattresses.

Use

The lying surface of 186 x 56 cm gives enough room for an adult. The mat works as a basic insulating layer in a tent, a camping mat at a festival or an extra seat during a stop on the trail.
