The sailing rope from the Italian maker Antica Corderia Marra, operating since 1896, is a braided polyester line designed for mooring and other uses on boats and yachts. It is sold in a 50 meter coil that can be cut into any lengths as needed.

Material and strength

Made of polyester, the rope has high tear resistance and low stretch under load, which ensures stable mooring of the vessel even in changing conditions on the water. Good grip in knots makes it easy to tie and secure the rope in typical sailing situations.

Weather resistance

The rope material is UV stabilized, so it keeps its flexibility and strength for many seasons despite exposure to sun, rain and sea salt. The manufacturer states a breaking load of 360 kg for the 8 mm diameter, with a recommended working load of up to 36 kg.

The 8 mm diameter rope, in white with a blue marker, works as a mooring line on yachts and recreational boats, as well as for other sailing tasks and DIY jobs that call for a durable, water-resistant braided line.
