Aramox - engine oil level dipstick

A dipstick, that is a rod-type engine oil level indicator, is a component that lets you quickly and conveniently check the amount of oil in the engine without connecting diagnostics. Inserted into a guide tube set in the engine block, once removed it shows the current oil level on the scale at its tip.

Use

The dipstick is a replacement for the original BMW part with catalog number 11437600470 and fits BMW 1 Series (F20, F21) and 3 Series (F30, F31) models from 2011-2019. It is made of stainless steel with an anti-corrosion coating, which provides resistance to hot oil and the moisture present in the engine bay throughout its service life.

Why replace the dipstick

A lost, corroded or deformed dipstick makes it hard to check the oil level reliably, which can lead to overlooking a too-low level and, as a result, to accelerated wear or engine damage.
