Bathroom cabinets for under the sink and above the washing machine

Bathroom cabinets help organize cosmetics, towels and cleaning products, while hiding the trap and plumbing. In this category you will find freestanding and wall-hung under-sink cabinets, units above the washing machine, narrow cabinets above the toilet, bathroom tall units and cabinets with a mirror.

When choosing a cabinet, carefully measure the installation space and the spacing of the sink and drain. Under-sink cabinets usually have a cutout for the trap – check that it fits your plumbing. In a bathroom, moisture resistance is important, so pay attention to the carcass material, edge protection and type of fittings. Wall-hung cabinets make cleaning the floor easier.

For a unit above the washing machine, check the height of the appliance and leave a gap for ventilation and for the lid to open freely. When choosing the color of the fronts, it is worth taking into account the tiles, fixtures and lighting – light cabinets visually enlarge a small bathroom, and dark ones add elegance.
