BI-TRUST QP-003991 – truck air brake air dryer service kit

BI-TRUST QP-003991 – air dryer service kit

In trucks, air brakes are supplied with compressed air, which must be dry. The air dryer removes moisture from the system, and over time its internal components wear out. This service kit contains a full set of parts needed to rebuild the dryer.

Application

The kit is intended for air dryers of pneumatic brake systems in trucks. It corresponds to reference numbers 21583806, 22358797, K035697K50, K107482, K148329K50 and EKKB.63.27, so compare them with the number of your own dryer before ordering.

Construction

• internal plastic and metal components selected for replacement in the dryer,
• the design allows rebuilding and repair instead of replacing the whole unit,
• low weight, approx. 110 g.

Why servicing the air dryer is important

A working dryer protects the valves, actuators and lines of the pneumatic system from corrosion and freezing, and therefore affects the reliability of the air brakes. Regularly replacing worn components is cheaper than later repairing the whole installation.

Specifications

The kit is light and compact, easy to store in a workshop or service vehicle, and replacement usually requires no specialist tools other than those used to disassemble the dryer.
