A lock failure can show up as the door not responding to the remote, not being possible to close or to open from outside or inside, or the indicator showing an open door despite it being closed. The cause is often a worn microswitch or actuator in the lock mechanism.

The lock is selected for the specific model, year and side of the car: front or rear, left or right. Pay attention to the number of pins in the connector and the catalog number of the original part, because within one model there may be different versions. Fitting requires removing the door trim and in some cars may require coding. When replacing a lock, it is worth checking the condition of the rods and handle, because their wear can also cause problems with opening the door.
