Solid wood boards with tongue-and-groove joints, finished using the traditional Japanese Shou Sugi Ban charring technique. The wood surface is carefully burned, then cooled and cleaned, which gives the boards a characteristic deep black texture and increases their resistance to moisture and insects.

Finish and protection

After charring, the boards are covered with a water-based pigmented coating, which further protects the wood and emphasizes the natural grain pattern in black. As a result, the cladding stays durable both when installed indoors and on the exterior facade of a building.

Installation

One pack contains 7 boards measuring 119.1 x 12 cm and 18 mm thick, which corresponds to an area of 1 m². The tongue-and-groove joint ensures stable and even laying of the cladding, and installation is done with standard screws, nails or staples on battens 25 mm thick.
