Before first use, the tester should be set in test pool water or hot spring water in the following order: pH test. The recommended chlorine content in pool water or hot spring water is 7.2 to 7.8. Let the tester stay in the water and adjust the knob until the beep toward pH (the battery should be removed while reading the pH). Wait until the indicator stops swinging after the pH reading. Gently dry the test strip and insert it into the slot next to the tester.
