A grinder with extensive safety features

The DCG406N is a cordless angle grinder for 125 mm discs, designed for cutting steel, rebar, pipes and tiles, as well as grinding welds and removing rust. The brushless motor reaches up to 9000 rpm, and the set of safety features makes it a good choice for heavy work on a job site and in a metalworking shop.

Safety

• paddle switch with dead-man function – the grinder stops when the lever is released,
• electronic brake that quickly stops the disc,
• soft start that limits jerking at startup,
• electronic clutch that reacts to disc binding,
• restart protection after a battery change.

Bare tool version

The set includes only the tool. The grinder fits DeWALT XR 18V batteries; for cutting steel, 5 Ah batteries work best.

Before each job, check the disc guard and use safety glasses and protective gloves.
