For large holes in concrete

The DT60844 is an XLR series drill bit for rotary hammers and breakers with an SDS-Max chuck. The 40 mm diameter and 380 mm length let you drill holes for installation conduits, pipes, chemical anchors and large plugs in concrete, masonry and natural stone.

Construction

• full carbide head with four cutting edges arranged in a cross – even, round holes and less risk of jamming on rebar,
• conical centring point that makes starting the hole easier,
• flute that carries debris out of a deep hole,
• SDS-Max shank for heavy rotary hammers.

Use

The drill bit is intended for hammer drilling in hard mineral materials: concrete, reinforced concrete, solid brick, stone. It is not suitable for wood and metal. When drilling large diameters, it is worth starting with a smaller pilot hole and regularly withdrawing the bit to clear the debris.
