The Dyson brush bar with part number 963830-02 is an original replacement part intended for cordless vacuum cleaners from the DC59 Animal and SV03 V6 families, including the Animal, Cord Free and Fluffy versions. Its job is to effectively sweep dust, pet hair and fine dirt from floors and carpets while vacuuming.

When to replace the brush bar

Over time the bristles on the brush bar wear down, and hair and threads can wind around the axle, which reduces cleaning effectiveness and strains the brush motor. Replacing a worn brush bar with an original equivalent restores the vacuum cleaner to full performance without having to buy a new head.

Installation

• The brush bar is 22.5 cm long and fits the housing of the Dyson motorized brush head of the given series
• Installation consists of removing the old brush bar and seating the new one in the same socket
• Before replacing, it is worth removing dirt from inside the brush housing
