In this category you will find city bikes with electric assistance, intended for commuting to work, school and shopping. They have a comfortable, upright position, fenders, lighting, a rack or basket, and often also a low step-through frame that makes getting on easier.

When choosing, pay attention to the type of motor – a mid-drive works better on hills, while a motor in the rear or front wheel hub is simpler in construction. Battery capacity, which translates into range, how it is charged and removed, and the weight of the bike are important. In Poland, electric bike assistance is limited to 25 km/h.

Check the frame size relative to your height, the type of gears and brakes. It is worth planning regular servicing so that the bike serves trouble-free for many seasons. It is also good to check the availability of spare parts, batteries and chargers.
