Elgato Prompter

A teleprompter with a built-in 9-inch screen, so you do not need to add a separate tablet or smartphone as a text source. The device lets you read a script or live chat while looking almost straight into the camera lens, which is meant to help maintain natural eye contact with viewers.

Uses

The equipment is useful for YouTube recordings, Twitch streams, and also for video calls on Zoom or Microsoft Teams, where it helps you keep eye contact with the other person while reading notes. It supports a wide range of cameras – from DSLRs and mirrorless cameras to webcams and smartphones, even with very wide-angle lenses.

Operation and integration

Text on the screen is set up by drag and drop from your computer, with no need to install complicated software – just connect the camera and a Mac or PC computer. The device also works with Stream Deck, and the Camera Hub app is used to customize the look of the text and chat.
