Fantasy books

Fantasy is literature in which magic, unusual creatures and invented worlds form the backdrop for the heroes' adventures. In this category you will find epic sagas, urban fantasy, dark fantasy, young adult novels and classics of the genre, by both Polish and foreign authors.

Many fantasy novels belong to multi-volume cycles, so before buying it is worth checking which volume to start with and whether the series is complete. The publisher's description and subgenre information help you judge whether the book is closer to a classic adventure or a dark, mature story.

Pay attention to the edition – collector's hardcover editions with illustrations and maps work great as gifts, while paperback editions are lighter to read while traveling. With translations, it is worth comparing different versions. For people just discovering the genre, standalone novels or the first parts of acclaimed series are a good choice.
