FEBI BILSTEIN 170586 Coolant thermostat 103C

FEBI BILSTEIN 170586 - coolant thermostat

A thermostat is a valve that regulates the flow of coolant between the engine and the radiator, so the engine reaches its optimal operating temperature faster after a cold start and holds it steadily while driving. The FEBI BILSTEIN 170586 thermostat opens at a temperature of 103 degrees Celsius, which matches the original equipment parameters of the vehicles it is intended for.

Symptoms of a faulty thermostat

A thermostat stuck closed leads to engine overheating, while one stuck open causes the engine to warm up too slowly and use more fuel, as well as weaker warm air from the cabin vents. Replacing a worn thermostat with a new one restores proper temperature regulation of the cooling system.

Construction

The part has an integrated housing and a factory seal, and its outer diameter is 34 mm. The thermostat is additionally equipped with a temperature switch that works with the radiator fan control system.

Compatibility and brand

The product fits selected models of Fiat Fiorino and Qubo, Citroën C2, C3 I and II, Nemo and Peugeot 207, Bipper and 1007 - OE numbers 1336.Z2 and 9650926280. FEBI BILSTEIN is a German spare parts brand with a long-standing reputation in the automotive market, valued for quality matching original parts.
