Built for efficient, accurate.
one-handed operation. The ergonomic handle and lightweight, well-balanced design mean the Festool EHL 65 E planer can easily be operated with just one hand, while the other hand can secure the material. Weighing only 5.3 pounds, the planer is easy to control when used for both horizontal and vertical applications, and it provides a planing width of 2-9 16 inches, which is excellent for planing and edge work.
This versatile planer provides a maximum cutting depth of 5 32 inch and a maximum rabbet depth of 29 32 inch. The oversized depth adjustment knob allows incredibly precise control of the depth of each cut in steps of 1 256 inch. The solid, machined, one-piece base plate of the EHL 65 E has a groove in the middle that can be used for making chamfers.

The retractable side guard provides greater safety in the workplace or workshop. This guard slides up and to the side as the rabbet depth increases, which ensures that planing to the edge in deep rabbets is not a problem. When the tool is not in use, the integrated rest protects the blade from being touched and from damaging the workpiece you have just finished, and the lock button prevents accidental start-up.

Cutting head.
"Vibration-free" The EHL 65 E carbide spiral cutting head is built to provide a smooth, "vibration-free" cut, and has replaceable blades, so you can use the same durable head for longer. This head lets the planer cut materials with cleaner, smoother cuts that are ready for gluing or finishing, and it also lets the planer run quieter, which improves operator comfort.

This configuration also provides quick and easy blade changes. In addition, the wrench used to change the blades is conveniently stored on board the planer, so you never have to waste time looking for it.

MMC electronics and application-specific.
performance. Different applications place different demands on your tools, and the EHL 65 E delivers equally good results when working with different materials thanks to advanced MMC (multi-material control) electronics. It provides a soft start that will not harm the work surface, and is able to maintain a constant drive shaft speed of 15,600 rpm, even under heavy loads. All this translates into smoother results and easier operation.

Tool-free.
fence mounting. The EHL 65 E comes standard with a parallel fence. This guide provides additional support and guidance along the edge of the workpiece and can be attached to the front of the planer without tools. A rabbet depth stop is also available, which attaches tool-free to the EHL 65 E and makes it easy to repeat rabbet depth settings (not included in the set).

Efficient, integrated chip extraction.
The ELH 65 E provides efficient, almost complete extraction of chips and dust, ensuring a safer and cleaner working environment. It allows the extraction hose to be mounted on the left or right side and offers optimal performance when combined with a 36-millimeter hose and a Festool CT 22 or Festool CT 33 vacuum cleaner.
