Fishing braided lines

Braided line is a fishing line woven from several synthetic fibers, valued for its high strength at a small diameter. In this category you will find spinning, carp, sea and feeder braids in various colors, diameters and spool lengths.

Braided line practically does not stretch, so it transmits even delicate bites to the rod tip and makes a successful hook set easier. The number of strands affects smoothness – 8-strand braids are rounder and run more quietly through the guides than 4-strand ones.

When choosing a braid, check the strength in kilograms and the diameter, matched to the fish being caught and the rod. Colored braids are more visible above water, while camouflaged ones are less visible in the water. Because of its low elasticity, a monofilament or fluorocarbon leader is often used. Special knots are used to join braid to monofilament or a swivel, and sharp fishing scissors to cut it.
