What it is for

This air filter is a replacement for the original filter element used in Yamaha four-wheelers (ATVs). It cleans the air going into the engine of dust, sand and other contaminants met when riding off-road. A clean air filter is essential for proper engine operation, engine durability and maintaining the correct air-fuel mixture.

Design and operation

The filter uses two-stage filtration: the outer foam layer traps larger particles, while the inner layer blocks fine dust, effectively protecting the inside of the engine. A flexible, tear-resistant rubber rim around the filter seals the connection with the housing and prevents unfiltered air from bypassing the filter element.

Use and compatibility

The filter fits many Yamaha four-wheeler models, including the YFM350 Bruin, YFM400/450 Grizzly, YFM400/450 Kodiak and YFM350/450 Wolverine from various model years. The set includes the foam filter element, the filter guide and the guide cap, so you can do a complete replacement without buying extra mounting parts.
