Fosi Audio V3 Mono – compact power amplifier for a home audio system

The V3 Mono is a single-channel class D power amplifier built on the TPA3255 chip. It drives one passive speaker and delivers up to 240 W into a 4 ohm load. This lets you build your own stereo system or a multichannel home theater setup by adding more modules.

What it is for

The device works as a power amplifier: it receives a signal from a preamplifier or receiver and amplifies it to the level the speakers need. It also works as a power supplement for an AVR receiver when the built-in output stages struggle with demanding speakers.

Construction and inputs

• balanced XLR/TRS input and unbalanced RCA input,
• gain selection and automatic detection of signal and power,
• replaceable NE5532 op-amps in DIP8 sockets,
• four-layer PCB and a heat-dissipating case,
• Nichicon, ELNA and WIMA capacitors and post-filter feedback (PFFB) technology.
