Fountain pen cartridges and inks

A fountain pen needs regular ink refills. In this category you will find short and long cartridges in the international standard and in the systems of individual manufacturers, bottled inks, piston converters, as well as colored, archival and waterproof inks.

Before buying, check which filling system your pen uses – not all cartridges are universal. Bottled ink requires a converter or a piston pen, but offers a wider choice of colors. For school, blue or erasable cartridges are most often chosen, and for documents, permanent ink resistant to fading.

When changing the type of ink, rinse the pen with clean water so that the inks do not mix and dry in the nib. Store ink bottles tightly closed in a cool, shaded place so that the ink does not evaporate or change color.
