The Fenix 7X Sapphire Solar is Garmin's flagship sports and outdoor watch in a large 51 mm titanium case, protected by scratch-resistant sapphire glass. The model combines solar battery charging with an extensive set of features for running, cycling, swimming and outdoor expeditions.

Solar charging

The Power Sapphire lens uses sunlight to help charge the battery, which in practice extends the watch's operating time between charges. The built-in GPS module and a full set of health and activity sensors (including heart rate measurement) let you track workouts without a phone.

Display and controls

Information is shown on a 1.4-inch screen operated with both buttons and touch - the buttons work with gloves or underwater, and the touchscreen speeds up menu navigation. The case is water resistant to a depth of 100 meters, so you can take the watch swimming or recreational diving.

Build

This variant has a titanium case and a black leather strap with a buckle, which sets it apart from the version with a silicone strap. The connection with a phone is via Bluetooth, used among other things to sync workouts with the Garmin Connect app.
