Garmin Quatix 7 – GPS watch for sailors

The Garmin Quatix 7 Base is a GPS smartwatch designed specifically for sea sailing. The watch has a 47 mm metal case and a bright AMOLED display, and the controls combine a touchscreen with physical buttons, making it easier to use with sailing gloves or wet hands.

Sailing features

The supported onboard systems are: Garmin chartplotter, autopilot, wind information system and Fusion Entertainment system, which lets you partly control the boat's equipment from your wrist. Thanks to the built-in GPS, the watch also works as a standalone navigation device at a basic level.

Display and build

The AMOLED screen with a resolution of 454 x 454 pixels and brightness of up to 500 nits is readable even in strong sun on the water. The strap is made of 22 mm wide silicone. The watch is waterproof to 100 meters, in line with the IPX7/IPX8 water resistance standard, which makes it suitable for water sports.

Health and battery

The device measures heart rate from the wrist and stress level, and the 16 GB of internal memory lets you store maps and training data. The battery lasts up to 17 days in typical use. The watch connects to a smartphone via Bluetooth and works with the Garmin Connect app on iOS and Android.
