Cleats are small plates attached to the sole of a cycling shoe that engage with a clipless pedal, creating a firm connection between foot and pedal. The GEWAGE model is compatible with the Shimano SPD system using a 2-bolt mount, popular on mountain, gravel and trekking bikes and for city riding.

Release variants

The product offers two release variants: one compatible with the SM-SH51, where release is by twisting the heel outward, and one compatible with the SM-SH56, which allows multi-directional release, making it easier to unclip in various situations, for example during a sudden stop.

Material and durability

The cleats are made of heat-treated chromium-molybdenum steel, which provides wear resistance and stable, repeatable engagement in the pedal over a long service life. The included anti-slip metal plates limit unwanted movement of the cleats against the shoe sole.
