Before setting up the camera, it is worth keeping a few important tips in mind:
1. The camera works only on the 2.4 GHz band and does not support the 5 GHz band. If your router supports both bands, turn off the 5 GHz band.
2. The WiFi network name and password should not contain special characters such as “i &”.
3. Make sure the WiFi network encryption is WPA2-PSK (AES).
Setup steps:
Step 1: Launch the Wansview app, tap + to add a camera, and then select “Add cameras via WiFi setup guide”.
Step 2: Scan the QR code on the back of the camera, give the camera a name and tap “Next”.
Step 3: Enter the correct WiFi password and tap “Next”; the camera will try to connect. After it is added successfully, the camera should appear as “online”. If it fails, try the process 2-4 times. The whole setup should take at most 5 minutes from powering on the camera. Otherwise, unplug the camera and plug it in again.
