JBL Procristal UV-C Compact Plus – water sterilizer

The Procristal Compact Plus UV-C sterilizer is used to remove green and white cloudiness from water in garden ponds and in freshwater and marine aquariums. 18 W UV-C radiation destroys algae and some of the microorganisms responsible for cloudy water, without using chemicals.

How it works

The unit connects to an external filter or a separate pump, so water flows through a chamber with the UV-C lamp before returning to the tank. The compact design with a shortest installation length of 42 cm saves space by the pond or aquarium.

Safety

The unit is TÜV certified and has a safety switch that automatically turns off the UV-C lamp when the housing is opened, protecting the user from accidental exposure to radiation. The double glass construction increases the durability of the chamber.

Effect on water

UV-C sterilization does not change the chemical parameters of the water and does not affect the beneficial bacteria in the biological filter, only limiting the risk of algae growth and some microorganisms.
