JBL Stage1 9631 - 3-way car speakers 16.5 x 23 cm, 300 W, pair

JBL Stage1 9631 - 6x9 inch oval 3-way speakers

The JBL Stage1 9631 is a pair of 6x9 inch (16.5 x 23 cm) oval 3-way speakers from the entry-level Stage1 series. It is an affordable way to replace weak factory speakers on the rear shelf or in the doors.

Construction

• UV-resistant polypropylene woofers
• Mylar dome tweeters
• 3-way design for better clarity
• multiple mounting hole configurations

Sound

The speakers deliver a solid foundation of lows and mids and clear highs. A peak power of 300 W allows them to work with both a car stereo and a small amplifier.

Installation tips

Before buying, it is worth measuring the hole diameter and mounting depth in the door or on the shelf, and checking whether the car requires a mounting adapter. When connecting, keep the correct polarity of the plus and minus wires so the bass is not canceled out. The best results come from additionally sound-deadening the door with a damping mat.
