JBL Stage1 GEN2 42F – the smallest speakers in the new Stage1 series

The 42F model is the 10 centimeter (4 inch) member of the second generation of JBL Stage1, recognizable by its orange cones. The pair of two-way coaxial speakers usually goes into the dashboard, the corners by the windshield or the rear doors, where weak paper speakers are fitted from the factory.

More bass from a small diameter

Plus One cone technology increases the effective surface of the woofer cone without changing the mounting size. The polypropylene cone works with a PEI tweeter with a balanced dome, which gives clean highs even at higher volume.

Installation

• version without grilles – the speakers hide behind the factory cover,
• depth approx. 53 mm,
• 8 screws with clips and 2 gaskets included,
• 4 Ω impedance – they work with a radio, an amplifier and a subwoofer setup,
• they have passed temperature and vibration resistance tests.
