JBL Stage1 GEN2 62F – a simple replacement for factory speakers

The Stage1 GEN2 62F is a pair of 16.5 cm (6.5 inch) two-way coaxial speakers from JBL's entry-level car line. They were created as a direct replacement for factory door speakers – they mount in the original openings and hide behind the factory grille, which is why they have no grilles of their own.

Construction

The Plus One diaphragm has a larger active surface than a typical speaker of this diameter, which helps achieve fuller bass in a cramped door. The high sensitivity of 89 dB means they play well even from a factory radio, without an additional amplifier.

Installation
