JBL Stage2 524 – 13 cm coaxial car speakers, 35 W RMS, pair

JBL Stage2 524 – 13 cm speakers with grilles included

Stage2 524 are 2-way coaxial car speakers, 13 cm (5.25 in) in diameter, from JBL's mid-range line. They fit smaller openings in doors, the dashboard or the rear shelf and deliver a noticeably stronger sound than factory sets.

Construction

The polypropylene woofer cone combines durability with high sensitivity (90 dB), and the PEI tweeter with a balanced dome provides clean highs. JBL tests these speakers in extreme temperatures, under vibration and under strong UV radiation, simulating years of use in a car.

What they are good for

• replacing factory speakers in doors or the dashboard,
• a rear set combined with a more powerful front,
• use with a factory radio and with an external amplifier,
• a mounting depth of about 58 mm makes installation in shallow doors easier.
