laqula 17-key kalimba – mahogany thumb piano with case

laqula 17-key kalimba – mahogany thumb piano

The kalimba is an African percussion-melodic instrument played with the pads of the thumbs, increasingly popular among amateur and professional musicians. The laqula model has 17 metal keys and a mahogany body, which gives it a warm, melodic and clearly resonant sound. The instrument suits both beginners and people looking for another kalimba for their collection.

Construction and build

The body is handmade from lacquered mahogany wood, and the spring steel keys provide a full, lasting sound. The concave, ergonomic design of the hand rest allows comfortable playing for a long time, without straining the wrists.

Easy to learn

The kalimba comes with an instruction manual and a songbook with basic pieces, and the keys are marked with notes, which makes learning easier for people without musical training. Just move your thumbs to get a pleasant, melodic sound.
