Liquitex Professional Clear Gesso 473 ml – transparent painting primer

Liquitex Professional Clear Gesso 7616 – transparent primer

Liquitex transparent painting primer in a 473 ml bottle. This is a ready-to-use gesso that prepares the surface for painting and gives it the right absorbency, while leaving the texture or color of the surface underneath visible.

Primer properties

• a very clear layer through which the substrate shows,
• good adhesion for acrylic and oil paints,
• resistance to light and aging,
• can be tinted by mixing with acrylic paint,
• ready to use without thinning.

Applications

The transparent primer works under pastels, oil pastels, graphite and charcoal, and also as surface preparation for acrylic and oil paintings. It can be applied to colored or patterned surfaces, for example paper, canvas or wood, when we want to preserve their appearance. It also lets you paint over your own signature or drawing.
