A cut-off saw without a combustion engine

The CE002GZ01 is a hand-held cut-off saw for concrete, stone and rebar, powered by two Makita XGT 40 V batteries. It replaces petrol cut-off saws where exhaust fumes and noise are a problem – for renovations inside buildings, in basements, underground garages and on active sites. The brushless motor delivers around 4 kW, and the blade spins at up to 4200 rpm.

Cutting capabilities

• 355 mm diamond blade with a 25.4 mm arbor hole, thickness up to 4 mm,
• cutting depth up to 127 mm,
• cuts through several 16 mm rebars lying side by side in a single pass,
• dry operation – no water connection needed, best used with an M-class vacuum cleaner,
• works only with diamond blades.

Safety and operation

The machine has a blade brake that stops it quickly after the trigger is released. With no carburetor, spark plugs or fuel mix, it needs less periodic maintenance than a petrol cut-off saw. XGT batteries also power other Makita 40 V tools.
