Makita DKP180 18 V LXT – 82 mm cordless planer with 5.0 Ah battery

Makita DKP180 – 82 mm cordless planer with battery and charger

A planer without a cord

The DKP180 is a handheld electric planer from Makita in the 18 V LXT system. It planes a strip 82 mm wide in a single pass, so it works well for fitting door leaves, chamfering edges, and leveling beams, battens and decking boards. The lack of a cord makes work easier on a roof, scaffolding and in places with no power outlet.

Construction

• planing width 82 mm,
• cutter drum rotating at approx. 14,000 rpm, giving a smooth surface,
• knob for fine adjustment of planing depth,
• machined aluminum base for flat guidance,
• comfortable operator handle.

The kit

This set includes the DKP180Z planer, a BL1850 battery with a capacity of 5.0 Ah and a DC18RC rapid charger. The battery fits all Makita 18 V LXT tools, so the set is a good start to the system or an addition to machines you already own.
