Marek Grechuta – Singing Pictures, CD, sung poetry

Marek Grechuta – Singing Pictures

Singing Pictures is an album by Marek Grechuta, one of the most important creators of Polish literary song and sung poetry. The album, released by EMI Poland in 2001, combines music with painting: the songs are inspired by paintings and speak about them in the language of poetry.

About the release

Grechuta, associated with the Piwnica pod Baranami cabaret in Krakow and the band Anawa, created songs of unusual sensitivity for decades, based on beautiful lyrics and rich arrangements. On this album you can hear his characteristic, warm voice and a moody, intimate sound that invites attentive listening.

Who it is for

The album will appeal to fans of sung poetry, ballads and Polish singer-songwriter music, as well as people who value the combination of music with other fields of art.
