RANGE:
The maximum range depends on terrain conditions and is greatest in open, flat space.

Obstacles such as trees, hills or buildings can limit the signal range.

Radio waves propagate poorly inside metal structures and from inside a car.

The average range in a city, between buildings and obstacles, is 1-2 km.

In sparsely built-up areas with single trees, a possible range is 4-6 km.

In open space, with no obstacles between the antennas, such as in the mountains, communication over distances of 10 km and more is possible.
