Omesio – fixed-blade survival knife

This is a sturdy survival knife for camping, hiking and work in the field. As a fixed-blade knife it is simpler and stronger than folding pocket knives – there is no hinge that could loosen – so it copes well with preparing kindling, cutting cord, working wood and everyday camp tasks.

Construction

The 13.8 cm blade has a drop point shape and is made of stainless steel (the manufacturer states 5Cr13MoV). The total length of the knife is about 25 cm, and the weight is about 227 g. The wooden handle feels warm to the touch and sits comfortably in the hand, and the brown leather sheath lets you carry the knife safely on your belt.
