Prose

Prose – novels and short stories

Prose is the broadest part of fiction. In this category you will find social, psychological and historical novels, short story collections, classics of Polish and world literature, and new releases by contemporary authors, in both hardcover and paperback.

Choosing a book is easier when you define what you are looking for: an engaging plot for vacation, ambitious reading awarded in literary competitions, or a classic you want to return to after years. The publisher's description and genre information help you judge whether a given novel suits your tastes.

Pay attention to the edition: the translation, number of pages, type of binding and format. Pocket editions are convenient for travel, and hardcover editions work better as a gift and in a home library. For series, it is worth checking the order of the volumes. Novels as gifts are best chosen to match the interests of the recipient – a history lover will appreciate a family saga set in a bygone era, and a psychology fan a novel focused on relationships.
