The Ricoh WG-M2 camera is a newer generation of the excellent and well-received previous WG-M1 model. The new model has even more streamlined shapes while keeping the lightness and durability of the housing, which contains many advanced features. The WG-M2 is the first Ricoh camera that can record video in 4K quality (3840 x 2160 pixels, 16:9 aspect ratio) at 30 frames per second*. Full HD recording at 60 frames per second is also possible. The camera is equipped with an ultra-wide-angle lens (204 degrees) and a sealed housing that allows submersion to 20 meters underwater. In addition, it is resistant to drops from a height of up to 2 meters and to temperatures down to -10°C. * Maximum recording time is 25 minutes or until the file size reaches 4GB.

New features and greater capabilities.

To increase ease of use, the Ricoh WG-M2 camera has been equipped with numerous improvements, such as: vibration signaling of the start and end of recording, the ability to record vertically regardless of the camera's position, and seven image processing modes (Image Effect). In addition, the camera offers a wide range of video editing functions, including saving a single frame and splitting a clip.

Durable housing.

The Ricoh WG-M2 camera performs perfectly in extreme conditions. Thanks to its waterproof housing it does not need additional waterproof or shockproof accessories. After attaching the special underwater photography cap, uninterrupted filming for 2 hours at depths of up to 20 meters is possible (in accordance with the IPX 8 or JIS Class 8 standard). The device is also resistant to drops from 2 meters*, dust (in accordance with the IPX 6 or JIS Class 6 standard) and temperatures down to -10°C. * Tested according to RICOH IMAGING standards (drop from 2 meters onto 5 cm thick plywood) – compliant with Method 516.5-Shock, MIL-Standard 810F.

Wireless control.

With the Image Sync app installed on a smartphone or tablet, the user can preview photos and videos live (when recording in Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) or HD (1280 x 720 pixels, 30 fps)) and remotely manage some camera functions – adjust white balance, ISO settings or exposure compensation. The app also enables wireless transfer of photos and videos.
