Salewa Mountain Trainer Mid GTX - High-Mountain Boots

The Mountain Trainer Mid is a technical trekking boot from the Austrian brand Salewa, designed for demanding mountain terrain - scree, rock and steep ascents. The high upper, reaching above the ankle, provides solid ankle stabilization when carrying a heavy backpack.

Gore-Tex membrane

The boot has a Gore-Tex membrane, which provides full waterproofness while remaining breathable, protecting the feet when crossing snow, wet rock or streams. A reinforced rubber front section (rand) protects the toe of the boot from scrapes against stones.

Lacing system and fit

The lacing system allows precise, zoned tightening of the boot - tighter in the middle, looser around the ankle - which reduces the risk of chafing on long descents. Anatomically shaped reinforcements further stabilize the foot on descents down a slope.

The model is intended for people planning many-hour mountain hikes, via ferrata routes with an approach and trekking in technical terrain, where a solid sole and ankle protection matter.
