Slice-of-life and adventure comics

A comic is a full-fledged form of storytelling that combines word and image. In this category you will find adventure comics, graphic novels on contemporary themes, stories from everyday life, classic European series, historical comics, and also omnibus albums and collector's editions.

When choosing, pay attention to whether the title is a self-contained story or part of a longer series - in which case it is worth starting from the first volume. The edition also matters: hardcover albums and omnibus editions work well in a collection, and single issues let you get to know a series without a big outlay.

The suggested age of the audience will help match the comic to the reader, because some graphic novels deal with serious topics intended for adults. It is an interesting choice for people who look for reading with a distinct visual form. Collector's editions often contain sketches and commentary by the authors.
