Sony FE 50 mm F2.8 Macro (SEL50M28) – compact 1:1 macro lens

Sony FE 50 mm F2.8 Macro – close-ups at natural scale

1:1 macro on full frame

The SEL50M28 is a compact, lightweight macro lens with a Sony E mount for full-frame cameras such as the Alpha 7 series. It delivers a 1:1 reproduction ratio, and the minimum focusing distance is only 16 cm. This makes it easy to photograph flowers, insects, coins or product details at life size.

Key features

• ED glass element that reduces chromatic aberration
• Nano AR coating that reduces flare
• magnification and distance scales on the barrel
• AF/MF focus mode switch
• focus hold button

Versatile focal length

The 50 mm focal length works well not only for macro, but also for landscapes, portraits and everyday photography. On APS-C bodies the lens behaves like approx. 75 mm, which further increases the working distance for close-ups.
