Tosuny coolant temperature sensor

The coolant temperature sensor is a small but key element of a combustion engine cooling system. Its job is to continuously measure the temperature of the liquid circulating in the engine block and radiator and pass this information to the ECU. Based on this signal, the control unit regulates fuel delivery, ignition timing and the moment the radiator fan switches on, so the engine runs in the optimal temperature range regardless of driving conditions.

Use

The sensor has a universal design, so it works as a replacement part in many popular passenger cars and compact SUVs, including Mazda cars. It is a typical wear part - over time the thermistor loses measurement accuracy, which shows up as an incorrect temperature reading on the dashboard, a lit engine warning light or irregular radiator fan operation. Replacing such a sensor with a new one restores a correct reading and stable operation of the cooling system.

Construction and durability

The part is made of metal and heat-resistant rubber, and an integrated seal protects the inside of the sensor from coolant and moisture ingress. This construction ensures corrosion resistance and stable operation both on hot days and in low winter temperatures, minimizing the risk of false readings and unnecessary warning lights on the dashboard.

Installation

The sensor is easy to replace - it screws into a socket in the engine block or thermostat housing in place of the worn part, without interfering with other cooling system components. Because of its small size and low weight, it is suitable both for do-it-yourself installation by hobbyists and for quick replacement in a workshop.
