TP-Link RE330 – AC1200 dual-band WiFi range extender

TP-Link RE330 – AC1200 dual-band WiFi range extender

The RE330 is a WiFi signal booster that extends the range of your existing home network and eliminates dead zones with no internet access. Just plug it into an outlet where the router signal starts to weaken.

Range and speed

The device works on two bands at the same time – 2.4 GHz (up to 300 Mbps) and 5 GHz (up to 867 Mbps) – which lets you split network traffic: the slower band for browsing and email, the faster one for video streaming or online games. The extender's range reaches up to about 120 meters from the device.

Setup

The connection to the router can be made with a single WPS button within two minutes, with no manual configuration needed. The built-in signal strength indicator makes it easy to choose the best place for the extender in your apartment or house.

Additional features

The RE330 also supports access point mode – once connected to the router with an Ethernet cable, you can turn a wired internet connection into a dual-band wireless hotspot. The device works with routers from most popular manufacturers.
