Weldon Instruments Gelpi 9 cm – retractor with sharp prongs

The Gelpi is a self-retaining surgical retractor with two curved prongs, used to spread the edges of a wound during a procedure. The 9 cm version has sharp tips and is made of stainless steel.

How it works

The two-sided arms ending in prongs spread apart, and a ratchet mechanism locks the position without the need to hold the instrument by hand. This leaves the operator's hands free to work in the surgical field.
