Wolkenstürmer Quad-Bar - 4-line control bar with Quick Release

Wolkenstürmer Quad-Bar - control bar with a safety system

The Quad-Bar is a four-line control bar designed for Paraflex Quad type power kites, used both in land-based kitesurfing training and in power kiting. It allows controlling the kite with four lines at once, which gives fuller control over power and flight direction than two-line systems.

Safety system

The key element of the bar is the built-in Quick Release system with a chicken loop designed to be hooked onto a harness. In an emergency it lets you instantly detach from the tensioned kite lines, which is a basic safety element in strong wind.

Materials and construction

The bar frame is made of stainless steel, and the lines of durable polyester with a load capacity of up to 100 kg. The four-part non-slip plastic construction increases the grip's durability under intensive use. The depower bar can be fitted after simply removing the standard handles, which allows a four-line kite you already own to be upgraded with a power reduction function.

Specifications

Equipment recommended for people practicing control of a four-line kite on land, as a complement to the Paraflex Quad system with depower and quick release.
