ZimaBoard 2 - compact x86 single-board server

The ZimaBoard 2 is a small server based on the x86 architecture that works well as a home mini NAS, private cloud, router or a platform for your own projects. At its heart is an Intel N150 processor with DDR5 memory, expandable to 16 GB. The device has an aluminum housing and runs quietly, because passive cooling is supported by the included fan only when needed.

Networking and expansion

Two 2.5G Ethernet ports allow fast data transfer and let you build setups with network segmentation. The PCIe 3.0 connector lets you add extra cards, and the MiniDP 1.4 output supports 4K video. Two SATA ports are used to connect drives; the manufacturer states support for up to 36 TB of storage.

Software

The preinstalled ZimaOS makes it easy to set up a file server, manage photos and documents, and create RAID arrays. As a full x86 computer, the device can also run other operating systems and applications, for example containers.
