Ajusa 13218600 - Intake/Exhaust Manifold Gasket, 2.8 V6 Turbo Engines

Ajusa 13218600 - Intake/Exhaust Manifold Gasket

The manifold gasket from the Spanish brand Ajusa provides a tight seal between the intake or exhaust manifold and the engine cylinder head. A properly sealed joint prevents uncontrolled air intake (for an intake manifold) or exhaust gas leakage (for an exhaust manifold), which directly affects engine operation and sensor readings.

Material and construction

The gasket is made of alloy steel in a round shape, designed to the vehicle manufacturer's OE specifications. The durable metal material withstands the high temperatures in the manifold area, especially on the exhaust side.

Symptoms of a damaged manifold gasket

• Hissing sound coming from the cylinder head area
• Uneven engine idle
• Air flow sensor or lambda sensor errors
• Loss of power and increased fuel consumption

Application

The part fits 2.8 V6 Turbo engines fitted to models including Saab 9-3, Saab 9-5, Opel Insignia, Opel Antara and Chevrolet Captiva. Before buying, check the engine compatibility by VIN.

Installation

Replacement requires removing the manifold from the cylinder head, cleaning the mating surfaces and fitting the new gasket, tightening the mounting bolts to the correct torque.
