D'Addario XS Phosphor Bronze 10-47 – acoustic guitar strings

D'Addario XS Phosphor Bronze 10-47 – acoustic guitar strings

D'Addario XS Phosphor Bronze is a set of acoustic guitar strings combining the warm tone of phosphor bronze strings with an ultra-thin XS protective coating. Strings in the Extra Light gauge (10-47) are a versatile choice for both beginners and regular players.

Phosphor bronze material

A steel core is wrapped with phosphor bronze wire, giving a warm, full sound with clearly defined bass, characteristic of this type of string. It is a material popular for strumming and fingerstyle playing, where a rich tone matters.

XS coating that protects the sound

An ultra-thin XS film coating surrounds the string, limiting the buildup of sweat, dust and natural skin oils. As a result, the strings keep a fresh tone and tuning stability for longer, and the coating is thin enough that it does not change the typical, natural feel of playing on uncoated strings.

Tuning stability and playing comfort

XS Phosphor Bronze strings provide good tuning stability even after an intensive playing session, which is appreciated by musicians who play live and in the studio. The balanced sound profile works in many styles – from folk to pop and acoustic music.
