Draper 45236 - welding chipping hammer for slag removal
After stick electrode welding, a layer of hardened slag remains on the weld, which must be removed effectively to assess the quality of the weld and prepare it for the next pass. This is what the Draper 45236 welding hammer is for: a tool with a double-ended head that lets you chip off slag without damaging the workpiece.
Construction
The head is made of hardened alloy steel, so it withstands repeated strikes against a hard surface. One end is used for chipping thicker layers, the other for cleaning narrow grooves and edges. The handle is a steel spring with an impact-resistant coating, which dampens vibration and reduces hand fatigue during longer work. The textured grip prevents the tool from slipping.
Applications
- cleaning welds after MMA welding,
- removing spatter and deposits from steel parts,
- work in the workshop, garage and on construction sites.
